The Federal NDP are looking to break new ground in Northern Ontario.

Leader, Tom Mulcair is visiting northern cities not typically noted for voting new democrat. But Timmins-James Bay MP, Charlie Angus says this is the perfect time for change.

“People are tired of Harper’s imperial attitude.  This is a tired government. He has nobody left on his front bench, the experience he brought to the table is gone.  I think people want practical, they want experience and Tom Mulcair has that.”

Mulcair was visiting Sturgeon Falls, North Bay, and Sudbury in an effort to sway to the voters who’ve traditionally voted either Liberal or Conservative.  Mulcair says his plan appeal the most to northerners.

“We’re going to work on resource development, work with first nations to make sure their rights are respected so big projects like the Ring of Fire will be a source of prosperity for the nations youth.”

Mulcair announced he’d also bring back door-to-door mail delivery everywhere Prime Minister Harper has cut it.
