Thefts from vehicles lead to charges for two individuals

At approximately 7:00 p.m. on July 9, 2015, police received reports of thefts from vehicles in the area of Ross Ave.

Prior to police arriving on scene, residents observed vehicles being entered and valuables being taken. Residents began following the two individuals involved, and at one point, were confronted by the male suspect, resulting in an assault on a resident.

Police officers arrived on scene and were able to locate the male individual in question, with the other individual fleeing the scene. Police located and arrested the second individual the morning of July 10, 2015.

Patrick YOUNG, 26, of Timmins faces charges of Theft under $5000, Assault Peace Officer, Utter threats, Assault, and Breach of probation X3. He was held in custody pending a court date scheduled for July 17, 2015.

Rose BLACK, 53, is charged with Theft under $5000. She was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of August 25, 2015.
