A 12-year old Timmins girl will be in front of an audience of millions later this week.

Ada Dagg-Labine will be among around 150 kids performing at the opening ceremonies of the Pan Am Games at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.

She says it’s organized by Cirque du Soleil, and is thankful for the opportunity, adding it’s a dream come true.

The audition process went in three phases, and was the only one from Northern Ontario to make it.

Dagg-Labine has been practising and travelling for the last month or so.  The rehearsals were all done in Toronto, but she says the organizers took school into account and was down south on weekends and missed minimal school time.

Her parents, John and Laurie, have been taking turns taking Ada down.  Once school was dismissed for the summer, rehearsals were done during the week.

While Ada wasn’t able to divulge details on the routine, she says you’ll be able to see the final product on CBC on Friday night at 7:00pm.

Following the ceremonies, Laurie says they will also take in some of the sporting events.
