pothole-620Timmins is one of three northern communities hosting a public meeting where you make a case on how the government uses $11.5 billion on infrastructure outside the GTA.

Mayor Steve Black says our top priority is an easy choice.

“The main priority for us will be discussing our connecting link project.  With the cost range in the 50 to 60 million dollar range when you’re redoing the road, the sewers, and water infrastructure.”

Queen’s Park announced a partial connecting link fund but Black says it used to be roughly 90% funded.

“It’s time.  Algonquin can’t continue in this state with constant patch work construction.”

The government is also asking you to come forward and give your opinion on how to spread the $11.5 billion.

Roundtable consultation meetings will be held in the following communities:

Timmins                       July 14
Sudbury                       July 15
Sault Ste. Marie           July 16

Ontarians can also provide feedback online or in writing by September 18, 2015.
