Timmins_Police_Service_logo_updA Timmins man is facing charges following the execution of a search warrant at a local residence.

On May 28, 2015, officers arrested an individual who was wanted by police. Following the arrest, the accused was searched, and police seized multiple illegal substances including methamphetamine, Fentanyl, Morphine, cannabis resin, crack cocaine, and marihuana. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $1500. Police also seized approximately $1000 in Canadian funds.

On May 29, 2015, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Timmins. As a result, police seized multiple items capable of storing data. Following an analysis of a portion of the data, Ivan NADEAU, 46, of Timmins was charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography, and breach of recognizance.

In connection with the incident on May 28, Nadeau faces further charges including resist peace officer, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The investigation is ongoing at this time as police continue to examine evidence and seized items. Nadeau is being held in custody pending a video remand date of June 22, 2015.
