Thanks to a partnership with two local companies, Collège Boréal will receive an impressive donation that will significantly improve the learning experiences of students in Timmins.

Dumas, a mining contractor that played an integrated role in building one of the most significant gold mines in Timmins, will donate industrial machinery to Collège Boréal including a scissor lift, a Kubota tractor, a John Deere tractor, and a John Deere backhoe.

Students enrolled in Collège Boréal’s Heavy Equipment Technician program will benefit from the generous donation.

Moreover, the Day Group of Companies has graciously offered to transport the equipment to Collège Boréal, free of charge.

“Thanks to this donation, our students will gain practical learning experience on modern machinery,” said Timmins Campus Director Jean-Pierre Nadon, “I would like to thank Dumas and the Day Group, as well as all of our community partners who help us provide quality training in our area.”
