The week leading up to (and including) Rogers Hometown Hockey will be full of updates!

We figure with everything going on, instead of a page highlighting every individual thing, we stick to one page with a running list of updates!

First off, the festival itself will run this Saturday and Sunday (Nov 26-27) at the McIntyre Arena.

Both days start at noon.  Saturday will finish it off at 6pm while Sunday will finish at the end of the viewing party for the featured NHL game (Arizona vs. Edmonton).

CLICK HERE for Rogers’ full release on the games, activities and contests going on, plus the ceremony by the Maple Leafs to bring banners for Frank Mahovlich and Bill Barilko to town.

Timmins native Steve Sullivan and Leaf legend Wendel Clark will be in attendance all weekend!

TRANSPORTATION will be key as well.  Timmins council expected to pass a motion to shut down McIntyre Road from Thursday at 6am to Sunday at midnight.

Timmins Transit will have you covered so you don’t have to navigate the busy area.  They’re offering a discounted rate of $1 throughout the weekend, starting Saturday at 10am.

The transit is encouraging patrons to keep vehicles at home, or utilize parking lots in the downtown core (it is free weekdays after 5pm and on weekends).
