Keith Urban will headline local Canada Day concert

It was the worst kept secret around Timmins, but it’s finally out.

Keith Urban is coming to town in 2017.

The country music star will headline the Canada Day concert at Hollinger Park, a wrap up of the “Stars and Thunder Timmins International Fireworks Competition and Music Festival.”

That night, he will be joined by Johnny Reid, Meghan Patrick and local sensations Sons of Maxwell.

Tickets go on sale December 1st at 9am online for Timmins residents only.  If you prefer the human touch, you can purchase tickets at the Archie Dillon Sportsplex from 9am to 9pm on December 1st and noon to 6pm on December 2nd.

Tickets will be available to the rest of the world December 2nd at 6pm online, and there are payment plans said to be available for online purchases.

Individual day passes, all-week passes and VIP all-week passes will be limited.  The eight-day general admission pass will be sold for $240 (including taxes and fees), and the VIP eight-day package is $400 (including taxes and fees.)
