The Timmins Police Service – Criminal Investigation Division has completed its investigation into an assault which took place during the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 28th in the area of Elm Street North and Algonquin Blvd in Timmins.

As a result of further investigation and consultations with the Crown Attorney’s office in Timmins, Cindy Nicole LABELLE, 36, of Timmins, has been charged with an additional count of Attempted Murder contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada in addition to original counts of:

  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Aggravated Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Assault with a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Breach of Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The charged person remains in custody. Her next court date is slated for December 2nd for video remand at Provincial Court in Timmins.
