The Timmins Police Service responded to a call for service regarding a missing elderly person early this morning.

Timmins Police officers attended the Timmins and District Hospital in regards to an 83 year old female patient who could not be located and had been last seen at approximately 11:30 p.m. on December 14th.

The local media was notified of the occurrence in keeping with established protocols.

The missing person’s medical condition is such that she is prone to becoming extremely disoriented from time to time.

Due to the age and medical condition of the missing person, along with the severe weather outdoors, the Timmins Police Emergency Response Team (ERT) was deployed on site to complete a thorough search of the entire hospital and surrounding area.

The missing person was located at approximately 3:45 a.m. this morning within the hospital and in a good state of being.

The Timmins Police confirms that at no time did the missing person exit the hospital.
