Ward 1 councillor Andre Grzela’s replacement might have already been chosen.

Mayor Steve Black says they’ve approached Veronica Farrell to sit on city council, as Farrell came second behind Grzela in the 2014 municipal election.

Black says they’ve already talked with Farrell after Grzela made his announcement and she seems to be interested.

Local council has had to find replacements three other times, all being appointments rather than holding a by-election.
