One of the biggest items coming into the current city council term was Mayor Steve Black’s promise to implement a core services review.

Fast forward to 2016, and many items from the KPMG report have been implemented or continue to be explored.

City CAO Joe Torlone told council in December that 20 out of 32 public opportunities have been approved.

Mayor Black was glad to hear the report, saying it’s often quoted that council isn’t taking anything from the review.
