The Board of Spruce Hill Lodge/Dome Porcupine Transitional Living Centre is launching a $500,000 sustainability, fundraising campaign to support capital and operational needs.

Spruce Hill lodge is a non-profit, charitable organization located at the former Porcupine General Hospital Building in South Porcupine Ontario.

It has been incorporated since August 1997 and is the only non-profit, independent living facility for seniors in the north. They’re also an accredited member of the Ontario Retirement Home Association.

Spruce Hill Lodge has been generously sponsored by many long standing donors such as Goldcorp, Glencore-Kidd Operations, individuals and dedicated community volunteers.

Residents and staff actively participate in the life of Spruce Hill giving the Lodge a family-like setting and wish to keep that quality of life for their seniors in a safe, inviting environment.

Several upgrades such as a new roof, sprinkler system / annunciation panel, upgrade windows and to the activity centre (windows, heating and cooling, and general repair) are needed this year.

The Campaign will include: requests for donations from corporate and community donors, applying to government funding sources, promoting partnerships in the community and local community events.

If you would like to donate, contact 705-235-8200 or go to:
