Plus, the Recording Academy announced today that George Michael and Prince will be honored with tribute segments. In a statement, Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy, called the late artists “pop icons who showcased rare musical genius and otherworldly charisma.” adding that their deaths “were a huge loss for the creative community. The Recording Academy is humbled to pay homage to their tremendous legacies.”
