The Timmins Police Service – Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant yesterday at a Porcupine residence.

A total of 2923 methamphetamine tablets were located and seized as evidence by the Timmins Police Service pursuant to the search warrant.

The tablets have a street value of $29,230.00

As a result of the investigation, a 44 year old Porcupine man has been arrested and charged with:

  • One count of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.

The suspect remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.

The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the integrity of other on-going investigations.
