Timmins Police need the public’s help after a Friday night robbery at Tiffany’s Variety Store.

Police say the clerk contacted police around 10:20pm after a male suspect was “brandishing a weapon and demanded funds from the cash register.”

Police say some Canadian currency was taken and the suspect fled. No injuries were sustained.

Later, the OPP’s K-9 unit conducted a track but came up with negative results.

According to the police release, the suspect is described as a Caucasian male between the ages of 18 and 20.

Physically, the suspect’s described as “approximately 5’6” – 5’7” tall, with a thin build, dark eyebrows…wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt with black lettering or symbols, black pants, black socks, as well as a black item covering his face and a black hat.”
