The biggest fundraiser for Special Olympics in Ontario runs Wednesday in Timmins

The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) raises funds to support local Special Olympians and assists with various community programs, as well as expenses such as travel, accommodations, meals, staff support, athlete training, public education, volunteer/coach training and development initiatives like school programs.

This year’s run will feature a barbecue courtesy of Dailey’s Your Independent Grocer from 11am to 2pm, followed by the run, which departs from YIGS at 4 p.m.

Police invite the public out to attend.
