It may have taken four days and three teams dropping out, but Timmins lit up with fireworks Thursday night.

Team Finland, who was originally slated to go Monday, got the chance to showcase their display after April Wine rocked the crowd. Earlier in the day, it was a jam-packed card that started with locals The Shaftmen.

In another case of the city working through last minute changes, Alyssa Reid battled the rain and put on a heck of a performance. Reid was originally slated to go Wednesday, but in what is being described a “medical incident,” forced her back a day.

Legendary rock and roll artists The Box and Alan Frew also took to the stage.

Thursday was truly a case of “better late than never.”

LOOKING AHEAD
Day Seven will feature Team Ukraine’s fireworks performance. Before that though, lots on the music side of things with Mike Trudell, Blackie Jackett Jr., The Washboard Union and Cold Creek County.
