The first Timmins city council meeting after Stars and Thunder will be an unveiling of sorts.

No, the numbers on Stars and Thunder aren’t on the agenda. But the top of the docket features a big name item of it’s own: the drawings of a new Porcupine Health Unit building.

The 38,000 square foot facility will be situated on the corner of Vimy and Theriault Boulevard. Construction is anticipated to start as early as March of 2018.

A sub-committee is to be formed and finalized for a performance review of new CAO Dave Landers and we may finally get something approved in terms of pedestrian control near St. Mary’s Gardens.

City council gets underway at 6:00pm.
