Police investigate threats, arrest 17-year old

The Timmins Police Service is in the midst of completing its investigation into an incident where a young person is alleged to have made threats of potential violence.

Timmins Police officers responded to Timmins High and Vocational School in the course of their investigation.

The 17 year old suspect was located off campus a short while later and was arrested without incident.

The suspect remains in police custody at the present time so that officers can complete their investigation.

There are no public safety concerns at the present time.

The ongoing investigation by the Timmins Police Service will not interfere with the normal scholastic operations of Timmins High and Vocational School.
