It’s expected to be a high-charged city council meeting, with a few hot topics up for debate.

First, the discussion on Stars and Thunder 2018. Mayor Steve Black will propose a budget north of $5.7-million dollars.

Council will hear a presentation regarding a permanent home to house evacuees.

Another will be Councillor Rick Dubeau’s item to ask the Porcupine Health Unit board to re-consider their decision to move outside the downtown core.

And there’s a couple building proposals, one being a gas station on Algonquin across from Western Auto Sales.

Council starts at 6:00pm.
