AngusCharlie_NDPPrime Minister Trudeau’s first budget is coming out tomorrow and MP Charlie Angus wants to make sure First Nations are a priority.

Angus says Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made massive financial promises during his election campaign and now is a better time than any to follow through.  He’s particularly pointing to safer drinking-water in First Nation communities.

“No More boil water advisories in five years and what about safer drinking water.  If we can’t deliver safe drinking water in our own country, what kind of nation are we?”

Angus understands a lot of the promised infrastructure money could most likely go to bigger cities but he wants the Liberals to understand the North needs their fair share.

“Where’s the plan where we get smart investments to actually build our region and economy.  Are we going to see the return of money Fednor, a good plan for infrastructure for our Northern communities, and a good plan to diversify our economy.”

The Federal Budget is being unveiled tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m.
