A 23-year old man is facing a charge after getting caught going a bit too fast west of Timmins.

OPP say Tye Hunter of Laird Township was caught on Highway 101 last Sunday (around 11:19pm) going an excess of 60 kilometres over the posted 80 kilometre an hour speed limit.

Hunter had his license suspended for seven days, along with having his vehicle impounded for a week.

He’ll answer the charge in a Timmins courtroom on October 26th.

OPP remind the public that if convicted, drivers could face a fine of at least $2,000, imprisonment and an additional license suspension.
