The investigation into the disappearance of Christopher Rivers continues, and the ground search is back on.

Timmins Police say their Emergency Response Team, the Ontario Provincial Police K9 unit, Timmins Porcupine Search and Rescue, and EMS Special Operations Medics are back on the ground looking for the 44-year old Timmins man, who was reported missing back on August 28th.

The search itself is taking place in the Murphy Road area where Rivers’ vehicle was found back on September 6th.

They add the search perimeter has been expanded.

It was in this same area that a ground search was conducted on September 8-9, but yielded negative results.

Rivers is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 5’10” tall and approximately 190lbs. He has a medium build, light brown hair, blue eyes, and may have unshaven facial hair.

Call Timmins Police at 705-264-1201 if you have any information regarding his whereabouts, or you believe you may have seen him.
