shelley andersonApproximately six years ago, on July 23, 2010, the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) commenced an investigation into a missing 51-year-old woman (age at the time of disappearance).

She had not been observed since September 19, 2009, and was last seen in the town of Cobalt boarding a Tri Town Transit bus on her way to New Liskeard. 

Shelley May ANDERSON of Cobalt is described as:

  • Approximately 5’10”, husky build
  • Long dark hair (pony tail or down)
  • Regularly worn a cowboy hat and blue jeans
  • Ties to the Timmins and Schumacher area since she lived there most of her life
  • May be using aliases such as Brenda May ANDERSON, Shelley May BECKER, “Becky”, Shelley BECKER and Brenda BECKER.

Unconfirmed sightings were reported in the City of Timmins in 2010 and another possible sighting was also investigated in July of 2014 at the Klondike Days Coliseum in Edmonton, Alberta.

The OPP Criminal Investigation Branch under the direction of Detective Staff Sergeant Paul Rosato and members of the Temiskaming Crime Unit are diligently working on this investigation.
