aircanadaThey’ve been servicing the Timmins area for 60 years now, and Air Canada says they have no plans of slowing down.

Senior VP of Regional Markets Kevin Howlett was in town Thursday to talk about their game plan, and just how they can compete with airliners such as Porter.

He says they compete with a lot of carriers, and their prices and services are on a competitive basis, no matter who they have to compete against.

As part of the presentation at the Dante Club, Howlett says the airliner recorded record results in 2014, from net income (up $191M) to operating revenues ($890M).  In 2014, they also saw 38.5 million more passengers.

Passengers will also be delighted to know new jetliners are on the way for Air Canada, which means seat availability is going up even more, 8% in 2016 to be more precise.

60 years, and looks well on their way to another 60 with no signs of stopping.
