March is National Engineering Month and to celebrate here in Timmins, kids can head to the Timmins Public Library Friday, March 16th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and build a reading nook with “Crazy Forts”, donated by the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists.

There will also be a proclamation at City Hall on Monday March 19th at 10 a.m.

Engineering month gets kids, parents, students and teachers involved in activities that focus on what engineering is all about and what careers you can pursue in the field. To learn more and find out what other communities are doing, check out the website for National Engineering Month in Ontario.
