**OPP NEWS RELEASE**


On March 24, 2018, between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., officers from the James Bay Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Cochrane District Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to three separate Motorized Snow Vehicle (MSV) collisions with injuries.

 

At approximately 12:30 p.m., Cochrane officers responded to a MSV collision near the Village of Fauquier, Ontario, where a male, 54 years of age, from Indian River, Ontario, had suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

 

At approximately 1:45 p.m., Cochrane officers responded to an unrelated MSV collision near the Town of Cochrane, Ontario, where a male, 27 years of age, from Cochrane, Ontario, had suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

 

At approximately 3:00 p.m., Kapuskasing officers responded to a third MSV collision near the Village of Harty, Ontario, where a male, 12 years of age, from Wasaga Beach, Ontario, had suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital. OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) were called in to assist with this investigation which in ongoing at this time.
