Netflix has announced that the Gilmore Girls revival will premiere on the American Thanksgiving weekend: November 25, 2016, at 12:01 am Pacific.

They’re calling it “A Year in the Life” because it’s going to be made up of four 90-minute episodes, each one covering a different season of the year.

The first one will be winter and the show’s creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, who has also returned to write the new episodes, has said she wanted Spring to be released at least a day later, then Summer, then Fall. She confirmed at Wednesday’s Gilmore Girls TCA panel though that all four episodes will be released at once.

Seasons change, but some things never will.

The series, which originally ran from 2000-07, will not only see Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel reunited as mother-daughter but also Melissa McCarthy, Scott Patterson, and all of Rory’s boyfriends from the original run. Edward Herrmann, who played Richard Gilmore, passed away in real life in 2014, and the show will be dealing with his character’s death as well.
