**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE MEDIA RELEASE**

The Timmins Police Service is once again taking on an active and enthusiastic role behind this year’s DARE Leadership Camp.

This is an annual endeavor focused on empowering local youth with a comprehensive series of workshops that help build character and solidify solid citizenry with local youth.

Students from all local high schools are invited to attend the DARE Leadership camp.

Those selected to attend stand to benefit from the experience in ways that cannot be measured in terms of mentoring opportunities and decision making skills.

The Grand Opening ceremonies for this year’s camp will take place at Camp Bickell on Friday, June 1st, at 2:30 p.m. where the media and the general public is invited to attend.

Among the local dignitaries attending the Grand Opening ceremonies at Camp Bickell will be Timmins Police Chief John Gauthier and Deputy Chief Henry Dacosta alongside his honor Timmins mayor Steve Black.
