**RC MODEL AIRCRAFT CLUB MEDIA RELEASE**

We are pleased to announce or 18 th Annual Model Aircraft show, scheduled for Saturday July 14th, 2018. It will be held at our field located at 2321 Gold Mine Road. This event will bring radio controlled aircraft enthusiasts from all over Northern Ontario. The Golden Hawks boast one of the finest fields in the north on which to fly model aircraft. Pilots from all over will descend on the Timmins field to show off their skills and the models that they have created. Highlights include large scale model aircraft, turbo prop aircraft, quadcopter unmanned aerial vehicles, racing drones, helicopters and aerobatic aircraft. There will be something for everyone, from small foam planes to large scale war time models.

Our youngest members will be offering free flight trials on a flight simulator, so if you wish to try your hand at flying an RC model without the expense of crashing one, just drop into the simulator tent. 

If your planning on bringing the smaller members of your family along for some adventure, make sure your around when we have our famous candy drop from one of our UAVs. Candy drops are done throughout the day under the safe guidance of club members.

The event is free and open to all members of the public, it begins at 10am and will wrap up around 3pm. We encourage RC lovers young and old to come and see the fun. Food and beverages are available for participants and the public to purchase and all proceeds go toward field maintenance. Come for lunch, bring a chair and stay to watch the action.
